What is EBITDA

EBITDA stands for Earnings Before Interest, Tax, Depreciation and Amortisation.

It is a measure of a company’s financial performance, whilst removing the effects of financing, taxation (depending on where the company is based) and how assets are written off.

It is calculated by taking a company’s NET PROFIT and adding back any interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortisation.
